Nuclear Rabbit is one of the strangest bands I've ever listened to. They combine funk and metal into one crazy-ass mix, much in the vein of Primus, to which they get compared to often. Bassist Jean Baudin is insane on his bass, using slap and tap techniques to great effect on his 11-string basses and is, in essence, the leader of the band. Greg Parrish's vocals are so weird, but they fit into the crazy music they perform so well that it seems impossible to imagine anyone else putting out those screeches, whoops, growls and other strange noises. Vicuna is their first CD, and is a real treat to anyone. Notable tracks include Secretly Meaty, Supermarket, and A Little Squirrel and His Crack Pipe.
