From the dark depths of the soul I bring you Johnny Hollow. This band is nothing short of amazing. It mixes electronic ambiance with gothic and darkwave melody. Kitty Thompson plays the cello, and uses it in conjunction with several effects pedals. Janine White displays her beautiful yet haunting vocals over Vincent Marcone's electronic handiwork. The group produces a unique sound which is "sometimes uplifting and, at other times, deeply oppressive"(Urptsukidojis Pad webzine). This band is perfect for deep thought, creative inspiration, or even when you just feel the need for ambiance. Arcana are a very lovely darkwave band. Their music is similar to that of a Siren's song. It is sweet and soothing, yet it sucks you in and commands you. It uses synthesizer keyboards to create ambience and atmosphere while using violins and other stringed instruments to create the melody. The vocals are sweet, yet haunting. This album is very good if you're looking to just relax or chill while listening to captivating music. Notable tracks include We Rise Above, Season of Thought, and Closure.
